PMMMNMTT Scheme
“Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT)” Scheme under TLC
A Project “Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya National Mission on Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT)” has been sanctioned to IIT (BHU) Varanasi by MHRD New Delhi to build a Teaching Learning Centre (Technical) which is human centric with many components.
The focus of the Teaching and Learning Centre is to setup an independent unit within IIT (BHU) with the following objectives:
(i) to organize training programs for faculty to improve their teaching,
(ii) to make available and to develop e‐learning content and other support services for students,
(iii) to develop motivational and life centric thought among all members of institutional community as well as external society
(iv) To develop discipline‐specific curricular framework and evaluation methods for incorporation into workshops and short‐term professional development programs
(v) To outline and recommend pedagogy and schemes of assessment appropriate for the new curricular framework
(vi) To develop learning materials, including textbooks and handbooks and to organize their translation into regional languages
(vii) To be repositories of resources, including reference services and electronic data bases, for promoting research on issues relating to teaching and learning practices and
(viii) To have an open knowledge portal of all lectures and workshops held at IIT (BHU).
