The Games & Sports Council strives to inculcate a healthy sports culture in the Institute, and help the same flourish, so that individuals from all communities―students, faculty, or non-technical staff―enjoy the thrill of the games they cherish. The Council aims to create an atmosphere where sports becomes an integral part of every individual's schedule. Numerous activities organized throughout the year attempt to expand the level of competition amongst people passionate about the sport they love, be it aquatics, athletics, badminton, basketball, boxing, chess, cricket, football, handball, hockey, kabaddi, kho-kho, squash, table tennis, tennis, taekwondo, volleyball, or weightlifting. The Council ensures that each person willing to participate in a sport they relate to will be served with attention, facilities, opportunities, and satisfaction.
