A vernal idea for offering a dual degree in Civil Engineering was conceived and introduced in year 2005-06 for those students who want to pursue their carrier in Research and Development. Subsequent to that, a five year dual degree program named, Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) is being offered by the Department. Previously, it was limited to Structural Engineering but from 2019-2010 session,.Show(+) students can pursue IDD in Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Hydraulics Engineering and Transportation Engineering specializations as well. The department is actively involved in research in many areas of Civil Engineering. The focus of the PhD program is on research training with a high degree of specialization.
