Dr. Sukhada is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Humanistic Studies at IIT(BHU), Varanasi. She did her PhD in Computational Linguistics from the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. She has received the traditional degrees of Vyakaranacharya & Niruktacharya from Arsha Shodha Sansthana, Hyderabad.
She is a core member of the group that developed Anusaaraka: A Language Accessor cum Machine Translation System.
Her primary research interests lie in Machine Translation, Natural Language Processing, application of the Indian grammatical framework to modern technologies, Sanskrit Computational Linguistics, Vedic philosophy, Human Values, Health and the 16 Sanskaras.

Students with JRF in Linguistics, Computer Science, Sanskrit Grammar or Navya Nyaya can apply for PhD in Computational Linguistics (NLP). Will work on Sanskrit-English, Hindi-English, Hindi-Tamil machine translation systems. We will also machine translate the original (मूल) Ayurvedic and Vedic Philosophical texts into English.

Students without JRF can apply for internship. The learners will be exposed to different NLP activities and will be awarded with a certificate on successful completion of the internship.
