Laboratory of Engineered Therapeutics

Our research interest is to develop the structure-function relationship of various post-translational modifications (PTMs) in proteins and evaluate their role in the context of various human diseases. The research program in our group will integrate concepts from analytical chemistry, proteomics, immunology, and structural biology to gain insights into the following broad subtopics:

Currently, the broad aims of research in our group are:

  • Understanding how glycans impact protein and viral function?

  • How they are structured?

  • How can they be engineered for therapeutic application?

Tools we employ to accomplish our research objectives:

  • Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS)

  • Molecular Dynamics (MD) Simulation

  • Cell Culture/Animal Experiments
