To address the scientific and technological research and innovation issues of the grand challenges of the nation, it is proposed to set-up a research and Innovation Park in a multi storey building which will house all the needed start-of-the-art research centres /laboratories. The proposed park aims to house research centres, laboratories and other facilities under these heads: Cyber Physical Systems and Artificial Intelligence; Health Engineering; Water Resource Management; Clean Technology; Mobility; Smart Materials; Computing and Information Services (CCIS); Central Instrument Facility; Industry Partnership, Design Innovation, Startups and Entrepreneurship; General Amenities and Convention Centre.
It is proposed to build a 10 storey building which will house all the proposed research centres, general amenities centres and upcoming centres. Each floor of the proposed centre will house at least two labs for the specific centres in addition to committee room, faculty chambers and research officer chambers. In the proposed centres, the various research centres will be equipped with modern equipment and software to conduct the research activities in specific areas of the research.

- Conducting state-of-the-art research and innovation activities in the respective areas of the research to address the scientific and technological issues and challenges related to nation grand challenges in listed areas.
