Area of Interest:
Nuclear Physics ( Gamma Ray Spectroscopy, Nuclear structure model calculations - cranked Nilsson Strutinsky Model, Shell Model calculations )

  • Study of nuclear structural and excitation modes through gamma spectroscopy. The studies are performed through experiments carried out at TIFR (Mumbai), IUAC(New Delhi) and SINP-VECC (Kolkata).
  • To study various nuclear phenomena such as evolution of collectivity, octupole correlation, existence of time-reversal chirality, gain of spin alignment etc. in the framework of macroscopic- microscopic cranked Nilsson Strutinsky Model.
  • To study the evolution of nuclear structure using microscopic Shell Model calculations.
