- Group studies emerging areas as Optical Fibre, Photonic crystal Fiber, Low dimensional materials, Optoelectronics, Sensors, Detectors, Solar cells and Optical communications, Photon upconversion based optical imaging etc.
- Current activities involve enhanced ultraviolet response in Dy doped ZnO thin films, focus of light through two dimensional graded photonic crystals, optical studies of Lanthanide doped hybrid nanostructures.
