M. Thottappan obtained his Ph.D. in the area of "Millimeter-Wave High Power Devices" from the Indian Institute of Technology (BHU), Varanasi, in 2013 and he was awarded UK Commonwealth Professional Fellowship-2017 to work at the Department of Engineering, Lancaster University, Lancaster, UK.

His current research interests include:

  • Millimetre Wave / Terahertz Devices and Their Applications.
  • RF Circuit Design and Solid-State Sources.
  • High Power Microwaves, Mode Convertors, and Power Combiners for Microwave / Millimeter-Wave Applications.
