Our primary research interest is to understand, design and develop smart inorganic nanostructures for energy applications. Excitonic solar cells and solar hydrogen generation are the solar energy applications that garner most intense and cutting edge research. We aim to contribute in developing nanostructured semiconductor/Alloys/Intermetallic electrodes which can demonstrate (i) size and shape specific properties,(ii) multi-functionality and (iii) robust heterostructures with strong synergistic electronic interaction. We primely focus on (i) Synthesis, structural and microstructural characterization of anisotropic and hybrid nanostructures, ii) evaluation of coupled electronic interaction and synergistic electrochemical properties through voltammetric techniques. Structure-property correlations motivates us to follow various emerging fields like Single atom catalysis on various metallic and semiconductor based substrates.
